On 10th October, Accredia and Confartigianato hosted SBS’ second National Seminar on standardisation at the Service of SMEs in Milan (Italy). The aim of the event was to discuss standardisation developments and challenges as well as and the benefits standards can provide, through discussions and best practices.

SBS organised its first European seminar on standardisation for SMEs in Brussels on 1st July. The event brought together major stakeholders from the standardisation world as well as associations representing SMEs in the process, at European and national levels.

SBS Board Meeting was held in Brussels on 20th May. During this session, the SBS Board warmly welcomed a new member: Barbara Sorgato – ECAP. This important meeting also included the nomination of SBS’ accountant and the establishment of an internal Working Group on Policy.

On 28th March, SBS held its second General Assembly in Brussels. New members were approved and more experts were appointed, hence reaching the annual goal of representation in the Standardisation Technical Committees. Furthermore, SBS members approved the nomination of two internal auditors, hence adding an internal layer to the external audit already requested by the European Commission.
