BlockStand
About the Project:
Blockchain is a crucial technology to the EU’s industrial leadership on the international level. The project BlockStand supports the increased participation of European experts in Blockchain and DLT (Distributed Ledger Technologies) standardisation activities.
The project aims to create an online blockchain community comprised of all stakeholders, that shall engage in continuous collaboration and exchange of ideas to bolster the European Union’s leadership in the field. BlockStand has three core objectives:
SBS role:
SBS engagement involves actively participating in various aspects of blockchain standardisation, including analyzing stakeholder needs and map standardisation activities, with a focus on the SME perspective. SBS will create a questionnaire for SMEs providers and users of blockchain solutions and will organise interactive online workshops with SME experts and their representative associations from different sectors in order to discuss and identify the needs related to blockchain technology and standardsation to with recommendations. Additionally, SBS will contribute to facilitating experts engagement and contributions, and promoting blockchain standardisation through events and dissemination activities.
Project Consortium:
Funded by the European Union in the framework of the Digital Europe funding programme, BlockStand is a project coordinated by the European Digital SME Alliance (BE) with the partnership of the International Association for Trusted Blockchain Applications –INATBA (BE), the talian national standardisation body for information technologies and their applications – UNINFO (IT), and Small Business Standards (BE).
