Swedish Entrepreneur Gunilla Almgren is re-elected as President of Small Business Standards – SBS until 2021

On 7 February 2018, the Small Business Standards’ Board appointed its President, Vice-Presidents and Treasurer for the next 4 years.

Gunilla Almgren, who has been President since December 2013, when SBS was established, was reelected for a second term as President. Mrs Almgren is an entrepreneur in the sanitary fittings industry and her micro-enterprise is based in Sweden.

The Board also confirmed Gérard Bobier (APCMA, the French Assembly of Craft Chambers) as Internal Affairs Vice-President and Tim Krögel (ZDH, the German Confederation of Skilled Crafts) as Treasurer. In addition, SBS announced Fabio Massimo (European Digital SME Alliance) as new External Affairs Vice-President.

“I am honoured to serve as the SBS Board Chairperson for the next four years and will continue to strive to maintain the focus of our mission,” stated Mrs Almgren. “I look forward to our continued work together in the coming years to defend the interests of millions of European SMEs facing standardisation challenges.”

Board members agreed that the priority for SBS is to increase the participation of European SMEs in the standardisation process and to practically involve as many enterprises as possible in
standardisation and the debates surrounding it
