Discover the information and services that standards bodies offer SMEs to facilitate their access to standards and standardisation.In 2010, CEN and CENELEC adopted the so-called Guide 17, a list of recommendations that standards makers should consider when writing standards to ensure they meet SME needs. The guide was also adopted by ISO and IEC in 2016. Guide 17 is available in several European languages.

The monitoring of standards is an essential tool for SMEs and their associations providing them with a centralised hub for information on relevant new standardisation developments.

Get Directions

From The Airport by Bus

The Airport Line (bus 12) provides a direct link between Brussels Airport and the European district. Buses run every 10-15 minutes and stop at Schuman. The SBS office is at walking distance from Schuman.

From "Midi" Train Station

You can take metro lines 2 or 6 direction Elisabeth. Get off at the station “Arts-Loi”. You can consult the map of the Brussels metro and tram network in here.

From the airport by train

There are direct train connections once an hour between the Brussels Airport and Schuman train/metro station. The SBS office is at walking distance from Schuman. Alternatively, take a train to Brussels Central Station (trains at least every 15 minutes) and then take the metro direction ‘Stockel’ or ‘Hermann-Debroux’ to the stop ‘Arts-Loi’ or ‘Maelbeek’.
