    SME Compatibility Test for Standards

    SBS has developed a test for the assessment of the compatibility of standards with SME needs. Test a standard to see if it can be easily applied by smaller companies!

    Useful External Resources

    Discover the information and services that standards bodies offer SMEs to facilitate their access to standards and  standardisation.In 2010, CEN and CENELEC adopted the so-called Guide 17, a list of recommendations that standards makers should consider when writing standards to ensure they meet SME needs. The guide was also adopted by ISO and IEC in 2016. Guide 17 is available in several European languages.

SBS 2019 Annual Conference: Standards for Europe’s sustainable growth: key challenges ahead for SMEs

Brussels, Tuesday 28 May 2019 – With sustainability as a key priority for Europe’s Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs), the fifth edition of Small Business Standards (SBS) annual conference which took place last Wednesday in Brussels focused on how SMEs could contribute to two of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDG). Featuring key speakers from diverse business sectors with extensive standardisation expertise, this engaging conference focused on lively, interactive debates with open discussions and audience Q&As across two afternoon panels.
